MUSICAL THEATER

Aimee Saras & Pasha Prakasa| June 20, 2016

Held at Studio 167 Monday night, participants learned song interpretation and dance choreography from popular Broadway musicals in a 3-hour duration workshop. This class was intended for singers who can dance and dancers who can sing. It combined the different disciplines of musical theater, such as voice and musicality, dancing and acting—into one fun-filled class.

This class was attended by 13 participants due to the limited quota. Our participants come with different backgrounds but with the same passion.

Aimee Saras and Pasha Prakasa spent years in New York City studying and pursuing musical theater. They both completed an intensive musical theater program (Pasha in 2005, Aimee in 2006) at Marymount Manhattan, New York. They both were on a New York-production of Miss Saigon where Aimee was cast as the understudy for Gigi, while Pasha was the dance captain and understudy for Thuy. Through this workshop, they shed their experience while you get to learn song interpretation and dance choreography from popular Broadway musicals.
